In Year 10, students will further improve their English skills and learn to engage with deeper questions and texts. In this course, our tutors assess and fill in the gaps in students' knowledge and offer comprehensive, personalised feedback to excel in their school assessments and exams.
The Year 10 English course is designed to give students all the practice and support they need to prepare them for Year 11 and the HSC. We offer encouraging advice to inspire our students and work with them to improve their work as this empowers them with the confidence to overcome any challenge they face.
Since English is such an abstract subject, students are often unaware of its relevance to the real world and find it difficult to connect with their work. By engaging students with the ideas and logic behind English, we lead them to enjoy opening their minds to different perspectives and expressing themselves in new ways.
Module 1: Rhetoric and Persuasion
Module 2: Narrative Fiction
Module 3: Modernism
Module 4: Shakespeare's Hamlet
Known by our team and all of our students to be one of the most giving people, Vivian has always been there for everyone who needed help with one of the hardest subjects in HSC; English. With an ATAR of 98.7, Vivian enjoys applying what she had learnt from her Bachelor’s degree of Commerce (majoring in information systems) and Computer Science to the academy, both in management and giving students insight as to why English is crucial in real life: “It gives you the ability to be heard by others!”
Each teacher applies school concepts to real life situations beyond the books. Apart from years of teaching experience, our teachers include doctors, lawyers, engineers, IT, psychologists and finance just to name a few.
Regular quizzes and exams prepared by ex-HSC markers to ensure our students stay on top of their game. Over 25 years of HSC trial papers and a uni-level question bank are curated to develop the most exclusive and comprehensive HSC resource.
